Benefits of PlantSTEP

With the promise of "improved workflow," greater productivity," and "accelerated development," it has been predicted that by the year 2000 most industry leaders around the globe will have adopted STEP. The focus of PlantSTEP is to create full information sharing among all project contributors via a standard of consensus. This will allow individual parties to use their own tools and techniques to their best advantage while being able to share information with all participants. PlantSTEP hopes to help the facilities we design, construct, and operate better by helping eliminate information errors in meaning and intent.
